Nico

Nico, founder and head shaper of Wavegliders, began shaping surfboards in the late 1980s, drawing on an early familiarity with boatbuilding, resin and hydrodynamics. Based in Ericeira, he founded Wavegliders in 2009 to create handcrafted boards that combine classic Californian designs from the 1960s and 1970s with modern performance. His range spans traditional longboards, single fins, mid-lengths and fish, all shaped by hand in Portugal.
